0n June 14th, 2019, the Staged Interior team had the pleasure of giving back to a worthy cause for one lucky veteran and her family. Operation Renewed Hope Foundation (ORHF) is a veteran-led organization providing quality housing and supportive services to our nation’s veterans and their families who are experiencing homelessness.
Several companies assisted in improving an Alexandria property chosen for this veteran family, including Dominion Energy, Home Depot and, of course, Staged Interior. Many came out to celebrate at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the first home for a retired Army medic with her five boys and one girl.
Our Contribution to the Cause
Our team provided their design and staging skills and all the furnishings for the entire property. We furnished and staged the kitchen, dining room, living and family room. We also supplied bedroom furniture for the entire family.
It Takes a Team Effort
“This year’s ORHF project is especially meaningful since it is led by Deborah Snyder who is a Retired Lieutenant Colonel. We were introduced to this worthy cause by her sister Joy Deevy, who has been one of our most supportive Realtors going back to early years,” explains Young Kim, COO, and Co-Founder of Staged Interior. ORHF has assisted more than 800 Veterans and their families since its inception in Dec. 2011.
Kim says, “We are thankful for our veterans who serve this country selflessly to defend our freedom so that we can have a business like Staged Interior. We wish the family the best as they renew their lives in this new property.”
Staged Interior’s “Giving Back to the Community” endeavor began in 2016 when we furnished and staged a brand new 5000 square foot home for at-risk girls at Joe Gibb’s Youth for Tomorrow campus instead of throwing a huge 10-year anniversary bash. Since then, in 2017, we furnished an entire 7-unit apartment building for homeless transitional housing for Community Lodgings. In 2018, we worked with Catholic Charities and HomeStretch to furnish and stage 6 apartments for families in transition from homelessness.
