We are excited to announce our latest charity project with HomeAid NOVA. We furnished three vacant apartments for Catholic Charities’ St. Margaret’s Transitional Shelter Apartments in Woodbridge for families who have left domestic violence situations and emergency shelters. Our moving truck was PACKED with donations–we purchased all new bunkbeds, twin beds, mattresses, bedding, dressers, and donated sofas, accent chairs, dining table/chairs, lamps, and end tables. This was the third project we have done in partnership with HomeAid.
“We have been so blessed by our connection with HomeAid, which started through our affiliation and membership with NVBIA” Young Kim said. “We want to contribute as much as we can, but it’s always a challenge in the midst of the spring real estate market when staging homes for sale is really hot. The schedule for this project is on a rotating basis, as renovation crew works on three units at a time, has been a really good fit for us. It is working out so well to have some breathing room between each phase.”
We’re looking forward to furnishing and staging the next three apartments for St. Margret’s this week!
