3 Tips to Staging a Sunroom

A common challenge for homeowners, who are lucky enough to have a sunroom, is knowing exactly what to do with it. Yes, I say “lucky” as I’d love nothing more than to have one in my own home.

Whether large or small, a sunroom, when perfectly staged, can give the buyers one more reason to want to purchase your home. We want to give the buyers every reason to buy and not a single reason not to.

Here are 3 tips to perfectly stage a sunroom:

  • Leverage the fact that a sunroom can literally extend the “living” space within the home.¬†If completely closed-in, then consider using in-door furniture.
  • Give the buyers visual clues. Whether the space is large or small, enclosed or not enclosed, you want buyers to envision using the space. Make it inviting. For example, a bistro set, with an appropriately scaled centerpiece, a saucer plate and a coffee cup, will allow the buyers to envision enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning.
  • Use greenery¬†– Sunrooms are typically steps away from being outdoors. The use of greenery helps bring the two together.

Check out these photos of a few of the vacant and occupied sunrooms we’ve staged over the past few years.
